Sport Tynedale wishes the 2021 Sport Tynedale Lifetime Achievement award winners, Geoff and Pauline Higgins a very happy retirement and thank you so much for all the hard work you have put in over the years.
Sport Tynedale are greatly saddened to hear of the death of Tom Martin. Tom was a member of Sport Tynedale for a number of years where his desire to help others was most evident. Not only in sport but in many other community ways Tom has left a legacy. Without doubt, a “People’s Man”.
We are delighted that the 2021 West Northumberland Sports Awards took place at QEHS on Thursday 9th December, where local volunteers and athletes were recognised for their outstanding contribution and achievements to sport and physical activity in the area over the last 2 years. We were delighted to be under the expert guidance of Allison Curbishley with trophies presented by BBC presenter and local resident Carol Malia.
